What’s in a picture?

A picture’s worth a thousand words. Behind gifted eyes, is a vision, a gentle whisper from the heart, an artist’s soul. Like the deafening silence in a vibrant dream,

…every picture tells a story with a different point of view.

Will Wiriawan

Will WiriawanA versatile shooter, Will Wiriawan got an early start when he got a pocket camera as a gift when he was 7. His photographic journey thus began as he went on to study in China.

Fascinated with the vast knowledge & land of his ancestor’s, he was admitted to The Architecture School of Tongji University, Shanghai (上海同济大学), one of the country’s highest-ranked school for the craft, where he was further exposed to photography as visual documentary tool. Taking further interest, he joined the school’s photography club that eventually led him to the China Photographers Association - Correspondence School of Photography (中国摄影函授学院) where he was taught all he needs to know about photography—his lost playground.

He returned to Indonesia in 2002 to pursuit a career only to found his real passion. He launched PORTFOLIO® in 2005, a photo production studio where he & his team has produced commercial, editorial & fine art imaging for clients in the country & the Asia-Pacific region.

Will is vegetarian and he teaches The Art of Living Courses when he’s not taking picture, writing or playing guitar.

Long list of boring things that some people find interesting.
