Emptiness has evolved from young adults leav­ing the area for larger cities, in search of work oppor­tu­ni­ties. What’s left amidst the lonely land­scapes are two extremes — the very young and old. Esarn is also where Thailand’s bulk of rice is grown; a job left for the aged… full of uncer­tainty due to the area’s vul­ner­a­bil­ity to droughts. […] Through pho­to­graphic doc­u­men­ta­tion, Lonely Land depicts aspects of Northeastern Thailand often forgotten.

You don’t wanna miss this if you’re in Bangkok. Take exit No. 2 from BTS’ Thong Lor Station, head north­east towards 49 Sukumvit Rd. The walk around the gallery’s neigh­bor­hood itself is as reward­ing as the exhibits.
