What’s in a picture?

A picture’s worth a thousand words. Behind gifted eyes, is a vision, a gentle whisper from the heart, an artist’s soul. Like the deafening silence in a vibrant dream,

…every picture tells a story with a different point of view.

Facebook Frenzy: How to make it Quizzless, App-less & Cleaner

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

If you are one of those who prefer a clean strictly-updates-only facebook news-feed, you’re wish is granted.

Enter Greasemonkey.

Excerpt from It’s Wikipedia Entry:

Greasemonkey is a Mozilla Firefox add-on that allows users to install scripts that make on-the-fly changes to most HTML-based web pages. As Greasemonkey scripts are persistent, the changes made to the web pages are executed every time the page is opened, making them effectively permanent for the user running the script.

For those who uses Safari, GreaseKit enables this browser for the Mac to utilize and retain most–if not all–extendibility that Greasemonkey offers.

Step 1: download the files & install

  • SIMBL-0.8.2.tbz (Universal Binary)
  • GreaseKit-1.5.dmg (2008−03−22)
  • Installation manual is here: http://8-p.info/greasekit/

Step 2: go to userscripts.org install the following scripts

  • Facebook Purity
  • UnFuck Facebook
  • You’ll see the GreaseKit menu on your Safari as follow upon successful installation

There are hundreds of useful scripts that helps us browse better, among the collection, I found that AdSweep and Keep Tube useful for me. With 32,785 scripts as of this writing, the sky is your limit!

    Happy Browsing!
